People are always asking me how much water they should be drinking. Most people do not drink enough water.
Water is important and it is important to be well hydrated. For weight loss, health, etc.
However you cannot give absolute numbers like 8 glasses a day or so many ounces per pound of bodyfat.
Why not?
Think of it this way:
If you have a regular desk job in a nice cool office do you think you would need the same amount of water if you worked outside doing manual labour in a hot, humid climate?
Hell no!
You would need way more with the manual labour job even though it’s the same person.
So how do you know how much to drink?
Answer:
By the color of your pee. You should have 5 clear urinations per day with at least 2 of them happening after your workout.
I like to slam back a couple of glasses of water immediately upon waking as I’m probably dehydrated from sleeping.
Also I wouldn’t drink a lot before bed unless you want to be running to bathroom all night while trying to sleep.
